If you are unsure and want a biology degree, go for it. You might be able to enter a field with just a bio degree like i did. Or if you’re having trouble starting a career, you can get a masters degree in a more specific area. Weba bio degree can be the basis for a lot of career choices. I know mds, dvms, phds, mss, as well as leaders in biotech who all had biology undergrad degrees. Weba basic science bs (which is typically the study of nature and animals, insects and such) does not give enough education on things that are important to other sciences. I can choose either fun, mostly useless classes or more rigorous slightly less fun but probably beneficial classes. For example, i could take molecular evolution (fun) or general microbiology (difficult).
